This is the location in Nea Makri where scenes for the upcoming film The Riders, starring Brad Pitt, will be filmed from March 11 to March 13, with filming scheduled here on March 13.



The Nautical Club was founded in the 1960s, when Nea Makri began developing as a seaside town for Athenians.
Local residents and sailing enthusiasts wanted to create:
a training centre for young sailors
a meeting point for boat owners
an organisation promoting maritime culture in the area.

Since then the club has been based inside the small harbour of Nea Makri.
