Galatini, near Analipsi, Kozani, is one of the most popular takeoff points for paragliding in Western Macedonia. The takeoff area is located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters, offering a panoramic view of the plain and surrounding mountains.
The winds in the area are mainly northern and western, but also southern, creating ideal conditions for long-duration and high-altitude flights.
Access to the site is via a paved road starting from the village of Galatini and leading to the hill, where a takeoff area has been developed with sufficient clearance and safety. Landing takes place at selected lower areas, near Analipsi or in suitable fields.
The location is favored by local clubs and visiting pilots from all over Greece, and during spring and autumn, gatherings and training sessions are held.
